CUSTOMER RETENTION AND PROFITABILITY

‘How to Know What Customers, Products and Sales Channels are Profitable' – Fiona Flynn, Director, Staff Balance

How to Improve Customer Retention and Profitability' - Joe Walsh, Head of Sales, Bord Gais Energy Supply

Do you know which customers, products and channels are unprofitable and which are not? It is a fact that many customer segments are unprofitable – they cost money to serve.  The most profitable 20% of customers deliver 150% to 300% of profits.  The bottom 10% can lose the company 50% to 200%.  Are you working with your profitable customers?

This special breakfast seminar will focus on Customer Retention and Profitability and provide valuable insights and practical advice to help senior sales professionals identify and develop the most profitable roducts, customers and segments. The seminar will feature two speakers with extensive knowledge and practical experience in this area.

Fiona Flynn is Business Development Director of Staff Balance Ltd. and has held a number of senior sales and sales management positions over the last eighteen years including Head of Sales at eircom.net.  Staff Balance software enables organisations to forensically analyse their business in terms of costs, profitability, staffing capacity and channels using simulation modelling techniques.  This information is invaluable in customer and supplier negotiations.  Staff Balance has helped businesses realise a 10 times return on their investment and the company’s online cost and performance management solution has helped clients in the financial services, utilities and public sector to save millions.

Joe Walsh is Head of Sales at Bord Gais Energy where he has lead the development and transformation of the sales organisation, delivering market share growth and maintaining retail margins throughout. He holds a primary degree in Marketing, is a graduate member of the Marketing Institute and has a post graduate degree in Strategic Management from the IMI. He has sixteen years senior management experience across a broad range of industries and international organisations such as 3M, Bridgestone Firestone, DCC and most recently Eircom and Bord Gais Energy.
