Brian Hurley, Director of Enterprise Services, HP Ireland

In November 2008, Brian was appointed Director of Hewlett Packard Enterprise Services Business (ES) in Ireland, having previously held the role of Director of Services of HP Ireland. Prior to this Brian held the role of Managed Services Country Manager for 5 years after joining Compaq in 2000. Brian previously worked with IBM Ireland Limited for 15 years holding various Management, Sales and Technical Specialist roles in the the services division.
Since joining Compaq and following the merger with HP Brian has established HP as the leading Outsourcing provider in Ireland with the groundbreaking Classroom 2000 and Bank of Ireland contracts. In addition, Brian proposed and lead the acquisition of Schlumberger Business Continuity Services, and the establishment of the highly successful HP Datacentre in Citywest significantly boosting HP Ireland’s capability in the services market.
For the past four years, HP Services and now ES has been independently recognised as the Number 1 Services organisation in Ireland. HP Ireland employs approximately 4,000 people, across 5 divisions countrywide. Businesses represented in Ireland are the HP Sales and Services Division; HP Manufacturing Operation; HP European Software Centre; HP Customer Solution & Support Centre for Europe, and HP Financial Services.

Globally, HP is a Fortune 10 company, with $126 billion in revenue; it has approximately 400,000 employees doing business in more than 170 countries around the world and is in the top one or two in every market it competes in.

Brian holds a Batchelor of Commerce degree from University College Dublin.
